Directions to kayaking launch site at the Eastern Lagoon by the E-48 Substation

GPS: 24°26.655’N 54°26.680’E

The launch site is located on Al Salam St (8th St) also known as the Eastern Ring Road or Al Gurum Rd.

Coming from the Al Maqtaa Bridge side;

♦  When coming from Dubai follow signs for Al Maqtaa Bridge, Abu Dhabi.

♦  Once on Al Maqtaa Bridge get into right lane.

♦  Come across the bridge and follow the traffic to the right where you will see a sign for the Eastern Ring Rd (also known as Al Salam St).

♦  Continue straight for about 5km then take a right when you see the blue sign for East Road slip road.

♦  Take the next right before the Substation and drive right round onto the dirt track.

♦  Look immediately to your left for the meeting area.    

Coming from Abu Dhabi;

♦  Head out of Abu Dhabi on Al Salam St (from the Tourist Club Area).

♦  The Eastern Mangroves will be on your left

♦  Go through the new underpass at the 31st Street junction.

♦  Approx 1.5km later exit to the right at the sign for Ministries Complex and Khalifa Park.

♦  Make a U turn at the next signal for Abu Dhabi /Corniche.

♦  Stay in the far right lane.

♦  Take a right when you see the blue sign for East Road slip road.

♦  Take the next right before the Substation and drive right round onto the dirt track.

♦   Look immediately to your left for the meeting area.
